The NAVSURFWARCEN, Dahlgren Division intends to award a Contract to Physics International of San Leandro, CA for a Flash X-Ray System. The X-Ray System shall include two one-MV pulsers, two one-MV X-Ray tubes, two trigger amplifiers, two universal digital counters, a high voltage power supply assembly, recitifier tank and interconnect cables, a nitrogen regulator panel assembly and SF-6 regulator panel assembly. The system shall meet peak output voltage of one MV per minute, six thousand peak current per minute, a maximum X-Ray pulse width of fifty ns, a maximum pulse case diameter of 22 in, a maximum pulse weight of 700 pounds and a nominal trigger signal input of one-hundred V. The X-Ray System must be fully compatible with existing Government owned Hewlett-Packard 43700 series flash X-Ray equipment. See Numbered Note(s): 22. (0059)
