99 -- RADARSAT FINE IMAGE MODE IMAGERY SOL DMA301-96-R-5097 POC Contact Tim Hughes, Contracting Officer, 301-227-2334 The Defense Mapping Agency requires procurement of RADARSAT Imagery of the earth's surface acquired by RADARSAT satellites in digital and photographic form. Data shall be available in Fine Image Mode and 10 meter ground resolution. Photographic RADARSAT images include transparencies and prints (black and white only) at a scale of 1:50,000. All imagery will be new acquisition and cloud free. It is anticipated that a solicitation will result in negotiation of a sole source contract with Lockheed Martin Astronautics, P.O. Box 179, Denver, CO 80201, since they are the only known firm possessing a commercial satellite capable of providing RADARSAT 10 meter ground resolution. The proposed contract is for a one (1) year period, with four (4) one-year option periods.
