P -- REPLACE AC SYSTEMS AT RED BLUFF ARSR, RED BLUFF, CA SOL DTFA08-96-B-03687 POC Barbara Bennett, (310) 725-7548 The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, material, equipment, transportation, and services for the installation of two 25 ton package A/C, two 10 ton package A/C, one through the wall A/C, and exhaust/make-up fan system including all ductwork, controls, and electrical work, as well as the demolition and removal of existing A/C, ductwork, controls, concrete pads, and electrical feeds. Work also includes the removal and disposal of some asbestos containing materials at wall and floor penetrations. All work is to be performed in strict accordance with FAA specifications and drawings. Contractor must begin work within 5 days after issuance of NTP, complete work within 45 calendar days after issuance of NTP. Contractor must perform 60% of total work with own organization. The solicitation package will be available approximately 4/22/96, with public bid opening approximately 30 days thereafter. The estimad price range is $100,000 to $250,000. The Standard Industrial Code for this procurement is 1711. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to 1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short Term Lending Programs (STLP), at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximun line of credit is $500,000.
