19 -- DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF A 225 FOOT JUNIPER CLASS SEAGOING BUOY TENDER POC Contact: Contracting Officer: C. E. McGill, (202) 267-2480 The Coast Guard intends to release a Request for Comment (RFC) for the design and construction of a 225 foot Juniper Class Seagoing Buoy Tender (WLB) with options for up to 10 more WLBs on or about 25 March 1996. The RFC will consist of a DRAFT version of the Statement of Work, Sections L and M of the RFP and the Specification. Only ship construction companies which express an interest in becoming the prime contractor will be provided copies of the contract drawings. Companies may request the RFC, or the RFC and contract drawings if a ship construction company, in writing or by fax (202 267 4019) to the contracting officer. Requests by phone will not be accepted. In conjunction with the RFC, the Coast Guard will host a pre-solicitation conference (PSC). Details of the PSC will be provided in the RFC cover letter and in a future Commerce Business Daily announcement. (0060)
