The Naval Air Warfare Center is seeking information from manufacturers and distributors of aviation (helicopter) maintenance platforms. The functional characteristics required for usage of this platform with the helicopter are as follows: - maximum height of 80 plus or minus 2 inches to allow for reaching tail rotor; working load capacity of not less than 1000 lbs; overall weight of platform not to exceed 85 lbs. to allow for portability, and capable of use in wet, salt air aboard ship. This is a Request for Information only. Interested manufacturers and distributors of aviation (helicopter) maintenance platforms are requested to forward brochures and applicable technical publications which demonstrate commercially available maintenance platforms that conform to the above functional characteristics. This is not a Request for Proposal. No solicitation package is available. NAWCADLKE is interested in determining if this item along with the technical information required to support the equipment, is available in the commercial marketplace and meets the definition of commercial items as defined in the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 2. The Government will not respond to any request for solicitation package under this Request for Information. Any comments provided may not be included in a formal solicitation.
