The Coastal Systems Station Dahlgren Division has a requirement for the fabrication and delivery of approximately 310 Single-Action Release Personnel Lowering System (SARPEL) bags. These bags provide the marine parachutist with a single action release system that will allow use for both Military Freefall (MFF) and Static-line (SL) operations. It can carry various configurations of equipment, minimizes damage to equipment, provides easy access to weapons and equipment on landing, and has single action release capability. Components include a stowage log, cargo carrier, 15 ft lowering line, horizontal and vertical cargo carrier securing strap, equipment release assembly, weapons carrying case, equipment attaching strap, and lowering line. Government furnished drawings will be provided with the solicitation. A first article inspection will be required. This action is expected to be awarded as a firm fixed price contract to that technically acceptable offeror with the lowest cost. Delivery will be FOB Panama City, FL, within 90 days following contract award. This will be a limited source procurement among the following previously qualified companies: Paraflite, Inc.; North American Aerodynamics; and Intamar, Inc. Upon written request, other potential sources/interested parties will be furnished the information needed to submit products for testing under the certification program for possible future procurements.
