B -- ABSTRACTING SERVICES FOR THE CHEMICAL KINETICS DATA CENTER SOL 52SBNB6C9089 DUE 041596 POC Marsha Rodgers (301) 975-6398 The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for Abstracting Services for the Chemical Kinetics Data Center (CKDC). Specifically, there is a need to do the following: Abstract archival publications or other such publications provided by the CKDC from the full copies of such articles; Enter chemical kinetic information so abstracted to the CKDC minicomputers for inclusion in the existing data base; Identify articles containing chemical kinetic data suitable for inclusion in the database of the CKDC from an examination of the citations in articles supplied to the vendor by CKDC; Assign Chemical Abstracting Service (CAS) Registry Numbers to all chemical species for which data entered into the database of CKDC and create and add electronically readable copies of the structures of these species to CKDC database--The period of performance of this contract is from date of award through one year. There is also an option for an additional one year period--FOB Destination, Gaithersburg, Maryland--Significant evaluation factors are: Background and evidence of accomplishment in data compilation of gas kinetic data; Reading ability in foreign languages (French, German, Russian); Background and evidence of accomplishment in the identification of primary sources from thearchival literature for inclusion in the Chemical Kinetics Data Center; and Background and evidence of accomplishment in the identification of correct chemical nomenclature and structures from the chemical literature--All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency--Please submit requests for solicitation in writing--Fax Number 301-963-7732--See Note 1.
