202-233-5128 The FAA's Air Traffic Management (ATM) Integrated Product
Team *IPT), AUA-500, is planning to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP)
for the purpose of selecting a contractor to support the ATM IPT in the
development and implementation of advanced ATM decision support
systems. The advanced ATM systems will include but will not be limited
to functionalities of the Center-TRACON Automation System (CTAS), the
Surface Movement Advisor (SMA), Departure Sequencing Program (DSP) and
Traffic Management System (TMS) projects. The requirement will include
support for the integration of ATM products into the air traffic
domains. The ATM contract will require expertise involving a wide range
of engineering disciplines as needed from concept exploration through
development and implementation. An industry review of a draft ATM
system development and integration (ATMSDI) contract RFP is planned for
third quarter FY96 with an RFP release scheduled for fourth quarter
FY96. This announcement supersedes all previous CBD notices relating to
ATM generally, or to CTAS, SMA, DSP or TMS individually. It is
anticipated that a briefing to industry will be conducted prior to RFP
