replacing three fire pumps and the obsolete 125 VDC fire pump control
system, refurbishing the three diesel engines wiich drive the fire
pumps, and adding new return (test) piping from the fire pumps'
discharge to an existing 1 million gallon water reservoir. The three
pumps are located in the VAB Utility Annex at LC-39. Other systems
affected by this project include compressed air, fuel oil, cooling
water and electrical power. All of these systems will require temporary
or permanent modifications. However, these systems are being modified
only to facilitate installation of the new fire pumps, control system,
return (test) piping, and refurbished fir pump engines and not to
otherwise change their function. Construction Magnitude is $500,000 to
$1,000,000. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. All
responsible small business sources may submit a proposal which shall
be considered by the agency. This procurement will be conducted under
the NASA Midrange Pilot Test Program approved by the Office of Federal
Procurement Policy on April 16, 1993. Point of Contact for
