Fox, Contracting Officer, (907) 428-6186 This pre-solicitation notice is for work consisting of renovating portions of classrooms on 3 floors of building 3127 on Eielson AFB, Alaska. Third floor work consists of providing new finishes for floors, walls, and ceilings; interior acoustical walls; lighting; mechanical systems to approximately 2,775 sq.ft. of unfinished space for use as classrooms, administrative space, and office space. Second floor work consists of demolition of CMU window infills, installing windows, providing ducts to extend ventilation system, lighting, suspended acoustical tile ceiling, and power strips to create approximately 997 sq.ft. of open office space. First floor work consists of construction of one interior wall to include an office, relocation of light fixtures and diffusers to accommodate new wall, repaint walls, and connection of existing alarm to building system. Magnitude of work is $250,000 - $500,000. Standard Industrial Classification is 1541. Contractor shall furnish all materials, labor, equipment, transportation and services to successfully complete the project. This solicitation will be unrestricted and available for full and open competition. The Invitation for Bid is expected to be available on or about 15 March 1996, with an anticipated bid opening date of 26 April 1996.
