Kennedy Space Center, FL 32899. Lockheed Martin Space Operations
(LMSO), a NASA Shuttle Processing Contractor at Kennedy Space Center
(KSC), FL, seeks sources capable of providing console enclosures
providing: back panels which open for access to equipment, with
adequate knee space, forced air cooling, can be mounted on raised
flooring, and are modular to provide 1, 2, 3, or 4 console bays.
Console frames shall be all metal, capable of supporting 300 lb. load,
and provide 1, 2, 3, or 4 bay configurations. The back side of the
console should be angled to prevent stacking of equipment and materials
on top of console unit. Total height of console should not exceed 60
inches. Work surface shall be capable of supporting 300 lb. load, and
be a high pressure laminate with flame retardant, rounded leading edge,
with a minimum of 18 inches depth, entire length of console. Cable
access ports shall provide a minimum of 1 by 2-1/2 located at the rear
of the work surface. Equipment access covers will be secured by
captive hardware and have slotted ventilation holes. Mounting shelf
shall be 18 by 22 deep, fabricated from metal. Equipment mounting areas
shall have 21 bays for mounting EIA RS-310 equipment, and a chassis
depth of 32. 19 mounting will be standard and 21 mounting will be
optional. Two 6-receptacle power strips will be provided inside the
console bays for user equipment. Any resultant contract will require 16
units with options for additional units. One unit will be required for
up to 90 days for evaluation/validation prior to contract award. This
synopsis is for the sole purpose of identifying prospective suppliers
and does not commit LMSO to make an award, nor to reimburse costs of
providing requested information. Interested firms should forward

to indications of interest, data should be provided giving company
capabilities, experience in this or related field, normal product
lines, and such other data as may be useful in substantiating bona fide
