This acquisition is for system and software engineering support services for Mission Critical Defense Systems (MCDS) supported by the CECOM Software Engineering Directorate. These services shall combine the generic areas of software systems engineering with such specialized technical areas as Electro-Optics, Lasers, Fiber-Optics, Radar, Multi-Spectral, Imagery Exploitation, Reconnaissance, Surveillance, Countermine, Electronic Warfare, Robotics, and associated specialized intelligence collection systems. The contractor will be required to establish two separate facilities, the first within thirty miles of Fort Monmouth, NJ, and the second within 30 miles of Fort Belvoir, VA. Tasks will be assigned by delivery order and will be required for systems in all phases of the life cycle, ranging from providing acquisition support for Advanced Technology Demonstration (ATD) efforts, to implementing software changes/enhancements to fully deployed systems. This is a 100% small business set aside. The SIC code is 8711. The Government intends to award a 12-month indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, time-and-materials type contract. The contract will include four 12-month option periods. Award will be made on the basis of best value to the Government. CECOM intends to issue a solicitation on the Command Electronic Bulletin Board (EBB). No hard copies will be issued.
