The work will include the following: (Approx. quantities) Combined forced sewage and gravity sanitary sewer system including: two lift stations, one 550 gpm and one 450 gpm centrifugal, duplex, wet well/dry well type, 3,500 feet of force main and 3,000 feet of gravity piping (Piping ranges from 6-inch to 18-inch in size); The forced sewage system connects Butts AAF to the main cantonment at Ft. Carson, 900 feet FE-6 chain link fence, and 3300 SY 6-inch Aggregate Surface for Roads and associated base course materials. The estimated construction cost of this project is between $1,000,000 and $2,500,000. Contractor's Quality Control will be a requirement in this contract. The Contractor will be required to commence work within 10 days after notice to proceed and complete the work 220 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Provisions will be included for liquidated damages in case of failure to complete the work in the time allowed. Performance and payment bonds will be required. Bid sets will be available on/a 21 March 1996. Half-size plans and specifications will be furnished upon request. All requests for solicitation packages should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to bid opening. After such time, packages will be furnished if supply is available. It has been determined that the number of sets be limited to 1 (one) per firm (additional copies will be the responsibility of the requestor).
