Raum, Contract Specialist, phone (301) 342-1830; ext. 140, FAX (301)
342-1864/1847. SOURCES SOUGHT for a simulator to emulate foreign
communication receivers, consisting of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS)
hardware and specialized digital signal processing (DSP) programming.
The communications receiver simulator hardware shall have the
following attributes: (a) be re-programmable; (b) support real-time
operation; (c) provide RF pathways for real communication systems to
operate simultaneously with the simulated entities; and (d) emulate the
majority of analog and digital communication techniques. The Government
prefers equipment proven to be highly reliable and easily maintainable.
The communication receiver simulator software is considered to be its
most critical component. This software shall include: (a) the ability
to translate intelligence data to DSP algorithms; and (b) the ability
to support real-time operations. Potential sources should note that
work in this area will require security access to highly classified
intelligence data. The simulator is to support the Naval Air Warfare
Center Aircraft Division's (NAWCAD's) Air Combat Environment Test &
Evaluation Facility's (ACETEF's) Communications, Navigation and
Identifiication Laboratory. This request is for informational
literature (e.g., technical data, schematics, part numbers, estimated
costs, etc.) ONLY AT NO COST TO THE U.S. NAVY. Please provide responses
by 15 April 1996 to Mr. James Harris (Code 5.1.6.3), Mail Stop 3,
