The system must have three major components. The first component shall consist of a Management Information Center (MIC), which is a terminal through which total management control of processing parameters and reports is exercised. The MIC consists of the Keyboard (ASCII standard), Video Monitor, Printer and two (2) tables. The second component shall consist of a Currency Processor (CP), which is the primary currency handling unit. The CP includes a Feeder Module, Central Processing Module, Rejection Delivery Module, Delivery Module and the Shredder Module. The CP must process currency at 10 meters/second (40 notes/second). In addition, the CP must be capable of debundling straps of 100 notes and subsequently singling them. The fit currency output of the CP must be bundled into 10 output packages per bundle. The counting accuracy of the CP must not be greater than one counting error per million notes processed. The third component shall consist of a Reconciliation Station (RS). This is the station where reconciliation of processed currency takes place. The RS must have the capabilities of banknote verification, banknote counting and banknote destruction. In addition to these three components, the Automated Currency Processing System must have a currency processing data communications capability (FRS Gateway) that allows access to currency processing data. It is desirable that prospective contractors possess experience in manufacturing automated currency processing systems. All interested parties are requested to submit relevant brochures, equipment that have previously designed, capability statements, technical specifications, etc., within forty-five (45) calendar days from the date of this notice.
