The Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purchase of an integrated, redundant security management system, including hardware and software, system installation, training and maintenance for installation at NAVICP Mechanicsburg and Philadelphia. The type of contract will be firm fixed price Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity including a base ordering period of one year with four (4) option years. The base year will include an item for the purchase, install and training of a system for NAVICP Mechanicsburg, an item for an additional area at the Mechanicsburg site and an item for the purchase, install and training of a system at NAVICP Philadelphia. The first option year will allow ordering of the systems identified in the base year (if not previously purchased) and will provide for maintenance of each system. All subsequent option years will provide for maintenance. Evaluation criteria for the proposal is included in the RFP. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Requests for this solicitation must be submitted in writing to NAVICP Mechanicsburg Code 02522. There will be a pre-proposal conference held at NAVICP Mechanicsburg on 3 April 1996 at 9:00 AM. This conference will include a site visit of the Mechanicsburg area.
