C -- CONSTRUCT HANDICAPPED ENTRANCE AT BUILDING 1 POC Contracting Officer, Dannie Jennings, (716)344-3374 Provide A/E services for Project No. 513-96-107, Construct Handicapped Entrance at Bldg. 1 at the VA Western New York Healthcare System, Batavia Site, Batavia, New York. A/E services may include schematics, design development, construction documents, construction period services, and post-construction services. Schematic drawings must be provided within 30 calendar days after contract award, and design development drawings must be provided within 40 calendar days after approval of the schematic drawings. Construction documents must be provided within 60 calendar days. The proposed contract may either cover all of the A/E services, or it may include schematics, design development, and an option that the Government may exercise for the remaining A/E services. This project involves the construction of a new 1,400 SF entrance at the front of Bldg. 1 that will be designed to allow wheelchair bound patients located outside of Bldg. 1 to enter the ground floor which is approximately 42'' below the existing grade to provide handicapped accessibility, which includes on-grade motor vehicle access and all-weather comfort/environmental protection. The entrance will be designed to architecturally complement Bldg. 1. The magnitude of construction cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. This procurement is set-aside for emerging small business only. SIC 8712 and a size standard of $1.25 million gross annual receipts applies. This is not a request for proposal and no solicitation will be issued. All interested A/E firms shall submit Standard Forms 254 and 255 within 30 calendar days of this notice. The area of consideration is limited to 100 miles of Batavia, New York. Project specifications must be developed using Word Perfect word processing.
