The Air Force is planning for Tactical Interim CAMS and REMIS Reporting System (TICARRS) Operations and Maintenance (O & M) support for some portion of FY 97, to be acquired through other than full and open competition procedures. Support will be obtained from the system developer which has provided O&M since the system reached Full Operational Capability (FOC) in 1987, the Dynamics Research Corporation (DRC), located in Andover MA. A contract having a period of performance of FY97 from three (3) months (minimum) to a twelve (12) month (maximum) is contemplated. This period of performance will accommodate the Air Force's planned submission of TICARRS into the Integrated Maintenance Data System (IMDS), currently scheduled for 31 Dec 96, and the simultaneous decommissioning of TICARRS on that same date. Specifically, these tasks and activities involve computer operations and hardware maintenance, software maintenance, equipment/communications maintenance, database maintenance, document/specification maintenance, technical support at 53 sites worldwide, and data entry and analysis support. The system software is compatible only with Honeywell DPS 90-series mainframe computer system. DRC is the only responsible source capable of performing both the required O&M tasks and the necessary transition and decommissioning activities within the period specified under the IMDS program. A competitive solicitation package is not available and is not contemplated. Qualification requirements: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement.
