Scope of work: The general scope of work consists of providing all labor, material, equipment and services to replace existing chillers at the Binghamton NY General Mail Facility. Specifically the work includes, but is not limited to the following: Removal of existing chillers, chilled water pumps, condenser water pumps, associated controls and supports; providing new chillers, chilled water pumps, condenser water pumps, associated controls, concrete pads and piping modifications; providing all cutting, patching and painting required for the work of this contract; disconnecting and removing existing power wiring from main switchboard to chillers and starters and existing conductors from MCC to pumps; providing power wiring for new chillers and starters, new pumps, air handling unit, fans, etc. The contractor shall perform the work while the building is occupied and shall cooperate with the United States Postal Service in scheduling work to minimize conflict with USPS operations and usage. Offerors must have a minimum of five (5) years HVAC experience and must have satisfactorily completed at least three (3) projects of similar size and scope. A preproposal conference has been scheduled for March 14, 1996 at 9:00 am at the Binghamton NY GMF, 15 Henry St, Binghamton NY 13902-9997. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $300,000 with completion required within 90 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed.
