This notice is a combined Synopsis/RFQ for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This is a sole source procurement and NASA/KSC intends to make a purchase from Grayloc Products. This notice serves as the only solicitation, a quote is being requested from Grayloc Products and a written solicitation will not be issued. Grayloc Products is requested to quote on the following items: Item No. 1 - Valve, Graygate, 4 - 1/16'' 10,000 PSI MSP Model D, with/F40 HUBS, Carbon W/''BB-1'' trim,Quantity: 1 ea, Item No. 2 - Spare Stem Packing for 4 - 1/16'' 10,000 PSI MSP Model D Graygate Valve, Quantity: 1 ea, Item No. 3- Spare Bonnet Seal Ring for 4 - 1/16'' 10,000 PSI MSP Model D Graygate Valve, AISI 410 CAD plated or MOPS2 w/Graphite CTD, Quantity: 1 ea, Item No. 4 - Grayloc Hub, BW, F40, 6 SCH XX, AISI 4130 (60 K), Quantity: 2 ea, Item No. 5 - Grayloc Seal Ring, 40, AISI 630, PTFE CTD, Quantity: 4 ea, Item No. 6 - Grayloc Clamp, 2 pc., 4 bolt, 6F, SA193-B7, Quantity: 2 ea, Item No. 7 - Stud/Two Nuts, SPH faced, 1- 1/18'' UN-2, 9.375 LG, SA193-B7 Stud and SA194-GR2 nuts, Quantity: 8 ea. Cleaning, Packaging, and Shipping Requirements - The valve and components shall be factory cleaned and packaged for shipment. Grease and oil-type coatings shall not be used other than as lubricants incidental to normal valve or component operation. The valve shall be plugged or capped and secured to a wooden pallet. The other components shall be placed in a wooden box(es) with packing material added to preclude damage in shipment. Engineering Drawings - Within 30 days after award, the Contractor shall submit detailed valve and component drawings, which include dimensional data (i.e., length, height, etc.), to the Contracting Officer. Delivery - The above items are to be delivered FOB Destination to NASA, Kennedy Space Center, Florida. Delivery for Line Item No.'s 1, 2, and 3 are required within 20 weeks. Delivery for Line Item No.'s 4-7 are required within 8 weeks. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold portion of the Federal Acquisition Streamlining Act. The provisions and clauses in this RFQ are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-36. If the end product is other than domestic end product(s) as defined in the clause entitled ''Buy American Act -- Supplies,'' the quoter shall so state and shall list the country of origin. The quoter shall state in their quote their size status for this procurement as well as whether they are minority or women-owned. The SIC code and the size standard for this procurement are 3494 and 500 respectively. Selection and award will be made on an aggregate basis to the lowest priced, technically acceptable quoter. Technical acceptability will be determined by information submitted by the quoter providing a description in sufficient detail to show that the product meets the Government's requirement. Quoters shall provide the information required by FAR 52.212-1, FAR 52.212-4 and 52.212-5 with exception of the following in paragraph 52.215-5(b): 52.203-6, 52.203-10, 52.219-8, 52.219-9, 52.219-14, 52.225-9, 52.225-18, 52.225-19, 52.225-21, 52.247-64, 201-39.5202-3, and all of 52.212-5(c). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all quotes received by 4:30pm KSC Local Time on March 25, 1996 will be considered by the government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
