The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, Ca 93555-6001, plans to drill three (3) Geothermal test holes to an estimated depth of 1,500 feet each. The test holes will be located at the U.S. Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC), Twentynine Palms, CA. These test holes will be used by the Navy's Geothermal Program Office in its resource potential investigations on the MCAGCC Mainside area. The requirement consists of mobilization; site preparation; drilling, casing, and cementing,the holes; options for completing each test hole in one of three different methods; demobilization; site restoration; providing reports, chip samples, and geophysical logs; and a provision to cover conditions such as lost circulation, angle deviation, standby time, acts of God, and geophysical logging. Blow-out prevention equipment will be required. Subcontractors used for logging will be required to submit copies of their Federal and State Licenses. This project is estimated to take 60 days to complete, and the estimated starting date is July 1996. Proposals are being requested on a fixed price basis to include all mobilization, equipment, supplies, material, labor and supervision. Specifications will be provided in the solicitation. A site visit for prospective offerors is planned, with particulars to be provided in the solicitation. The solicitation will be released on or about May 1996 and will close 45 days thereafter.
