80 -- LOW VISCOSITY ALKYD SOL BEP-96-16(TN) DUE 040596. Contact Jesse Robertson, Contract Specialist, 202/874-3145. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing intends to procure, by negotiation, Intaglio Ink Vehicle: Alkyd: Low Viscosity, BEP Stock Item No. 1I000260, in accordance with BEP Specification V:ALV-1C, dated September 5, 1995. This material will be used in the manufacture of intaglio inks used for printing currency notes. The material shall be an unadulterated low viscosity alkyd vehicle and shall be ninety-nine percent non-volatile. This procurement will be solicited in accordance with the guidelines for Acquisition of Commercial Items found in Part 12 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The contract will be a fixed price, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity, (IDIQ) with economic price adjustment type. The period of performance will be for a one (1) year base plus three (3) one year option periods. Estimated quantities for the: base year will be 116,029 lbs., first option will be 157,325 lbs., second option will be 140,777 lbs., third option will be 149,471 lbs. The solicitation will be available on or about April 1, 1996.
