A -- VISIBILITY MONITORING NETWORK SOL RP1270-96-006. Due 040196. POC Shirley J Norton, 303/969-2748, Contract Specialist, James D Clark, Contracting Officer. Maintenance of the National Park Service (NPS) Monitoring Network and the multi-agency Interagency Monitoring of Protected Environments Network. The contractor will assist the NPS and US Fish and Wildlife Service in deploying, operating and maintaining visibility monitoring sites; reducing and analyzing data collected; deploying and operating equipment; participating in new instrument development; and analyzing and reducing data for special short-term studies. There are currently 9 camera, 10 nephelometer and 14 transmissometer monitoring sites. Where cameras are in place three slides are taken daily. Nephelometer and transmissometer data are collected continuously and sites polled daily. The RFP will be issued in March, 1996. This acquisition is solicited under full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. (061)
