The project consists of collecting data, performing environmental analyses, preparing technical reports, and writing/printing an environmental impact statement. The hydrologic report is being prepared by another consultant and must be incorporated into the EIS. The Stibnite Mine Expansion is a proposal to mine four open pits creating approx. 146 acres of new disturbances over a 5-7 year period. Access is via Cascade, Idaho (Yellow Pine Road) east 29 miles on a paved road. Turn north on the Johnson Creek Road at Landmark. Drive 15 miles on single-lane gravel road to Yellow Pine, then go east 15 miles on a single-lane road to Stibnite. Est. start date 5/1/96 and is to be completed by 10/31/96.
