- QUALITY ASSURANCE SERVICES FOR DISA. DISA is surveying all
businesses regarding their abilities and experience in providing
assistance to the Quality Assurance Division (D37), Operations
Directorate, in support of the reinvigoration of the Quality Assurance
(QA) program within DISA. The goal of the QA program is to ensure that
the users of the Defense Information Infrastructure (DII) are provided
reliable, high quality information service in an efficient and
effective manner. Specific areas of required support include the
following: (1) automated tools which allow trending analysis of
networks and systems, (2) techniques available for monitoring the
security posture of networks/systems/applications, (3) capabilities
which provide information relative to logistic support to
network/system nodes, (4) types of reports which can be used or
tailored to inform our customers of the health of systems which support
them, (5) methods which could be employed to allow efficient reporting
of customer concerns and the means to transfer that information to the
network/system manager for resolution, (6) effective trouble ticketing
systems or methods, (7) training requirements for QA personnel, and
(8) methods of integrating legacy systems into newer management
platforms. Interested firms are invited to provide capability
statements explicitly addressing the enumerated areas to DISA at the
above address, by no later than close of business on 8 April 1996.
Please provide sufficient information to substantiate your
capabilities, e.g. technical literature, synopses of current (or past)
efforts of similar scope and magnitude, and references, as well as
points of contact at your firm. Respondents must indicate whether they
are a large, small, disadvantaged, and/or women-owned business, and if
it is a U.S. or foreign-owned/ controlled. For this synopsis, a concern
will be considered small if its annual gross receipts average $3.5
million over a three year period. The Government is not soliciting
proposals through this announcement, there are no plans to procure
