The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) intends to award a one-year contract with four (4) option years to provide hardware and Novell Netware software support for 13 NetFrame LAN Servers located at 12 Facilities sites. The NetFrames are located at Headquarters, Washington, DC, and Facilities' sites located at each of the twelve (12) Facilities Services Offices (FSO) in Philadelphia, PA, Memphis, TN, Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, Columbia, MD, Dallas, TX, Denver, CO, Greensboro, NC, Hoboken, NJ, Kansas City, KS, San Bruno, CA, and Windsor, CT. The Netframes support several client/server applications. USPS requirements for this procurement include: a) 24 hours/7 days a week telephone support with at least one Certified Network Engineer (CNE) and a NetFrame certified engineer on staff available at all times, b) installation and support of remote diagnostics of systems, c) nationwide dispatch service, d) 24-hour electronic bulletin board with Novell patches, documentation, etc. with full text search, and e) installation and maintenance of equipment capable of supporting remote system administration. Other requirements include: a) must be a current Novell Platinum Reseller, b) must be a current Novell Alliance Forum Partner, c) must have WAN experience and at least one (1) master certified network engineer, d) must have prior certification by Novell to install Novell Netware 4.x, e) must have prior certification by NetFrame to maintain and install Netframe equipment, f) must have ability to provide on-site service to all thirteen (13) sites within 4 hours, g) must currently be a NetFrame certified reseller of repair parts, h) must stock NetFrame repair parts and provide same day or next morning delivery to all 13 customer sites, and i) must be responsible for reloading or replacing OS/Netware software damaged by hardware failures, to include server configuration. Offerors must meet all the requirements stated above. The USPS shall be the sole determiner regarding the offeror's ability to meet this requirement.
