Development and delivery of an education program based on the guidance manual recently published by the Federal Transit Administration, entitled Transit Noise and Vibration Impact Assessment. The intention of the program is to promote the quality and uniformity of noise and vibration assessments, to illustrate situations not explicitly covered by the manual and to provide the transit industry with examples for application of the basic methods and extensions of those methods. The course will be delivered to those conducting noise and vibration studies as well as management personnel of project sponsors who need a fuller understanding of the methods used by consultants in such studies. To obtain a copy of the complete RFP, send a written request on organization letterhead to the National Transit Institute at the above address. All proposes MUST request an original RFP in order to be eligible to submit a proposal. Requests must be received by March 15, 1996.
