16 -- MH-53E NAVIGATION/COMMUNICATION SYSTEM POC Contact, PAMELA M. JACKSON, Phone (703)604-1920 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIRSYSCOM) is conducting a full and open competition to procure the manufacture and integration of the MH-53E Navigation/Communication System (NCS). The Request For Proposal (RFP) will be structured to procure and install a basic quantity of 7 NCS kits, with priced options for the procurement and installation of an additional 35 kits. The NCS integrates the Global Positioning System into the MH-53E aircraft. This NCS procurement requires the manufacture of various hardware items (instrument panel, equipment shelf, volume control panel, circuit breaker panels, etc.), and wiring harnesses. The NCS contractor will be required to have suitable hanger facilities to integrate and install these components, and various pieces of government furnished electronic hardware into the helicopter. The majority of the MH-53E fleet will be located at Norfolk, Virginia and Corpus Christi, Texas.
