20 -- RENEWAL AND IMPROVEMENT OF MEASURING PIPE LINER FOR RADIOACTIVE DENSITY/VELOCITY PRODUCTION METER SOL MCORDH-0096-0101 POC Purchasing Agent TROY MILBURN (901) 544-3655 (Site Code DACW66) The Memphis District, Corps of Engineers, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with IHC Dredge Technology Corp., 2960 AA Kinderdijk, The Netherlands, for the renewal and improvement of the measuring pipe liner of the IHC brand production meter system of the Dredge Hurley. The measuring pipe is an integral part of the system's radioactive density/ velocity gauge and has transmitter electrodes built into its liner. The renewal and improvement work includes the following: removal of the velocity transmitter housing; dismounting of velocity transmitter coils and electrodes; removal of the old basalt tile liner (requires burning out); installation of a new aluminum oxide tile liner with steel capping rings per new IHC design improvement; installation of velocity transmitter coils and electrodes incorporating new IHC design improvements; mounting of the velocity transmitter housing; and testing and painting.(0066)
