The AFFTC has a requirement for a telemetry receiver in accordance with the following requirements: The telemetry receiver shall be capable of receiving and demodulating RF telemetry signals; shall be a single channel device with full local control; shall be capable of being functionally remote controlled; shall be modular construction throughout; shall meet performance requirements without special adjustment to meet any one or more parameters; shall be dual or triple conversion super-heterodyne and shall use standard comercially available parts whenever possible.
