The specification describes the requirements for an adjunct system to provide a wireless extension of the AN/AIC-14A Intercommunication Set (ICS). This intercom system is commonly used aboard several Navy helicopters. It is desired to use commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment or a reasonable variation of COTS. Type I Encryption will be a requirement for the system. The adjunct wireless system is to provide wireless communication capabilities to the users of the AN/AIC-14A.
