FOR GOVERNMENT AND INDUSTRY'' - NORFOLK, VA. The Tidewater
Government/Industry Council, the Tidewater Association of Service
Contractors, and the College of Engineering and Technology at Old
Dominion University will co-host their fifth annual Service Contracting
Symposium from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on March 26, 1996 at the Norfolk
Waterside Marriott Hotel, Norfolk, VA. The symposium, entitled
''Managing Acquisition Change: Opportunities for Government and
Industry'' and subtitled ''Insight into the Privatization Task Force
and 25% Reduction in Government Acquisition Workforce'' will host a
number of noted speakers, including: Congressman Norman Sisisky,
Representative 4th Congressional District of Virginia; The Honorable
Eleanor Spector, DoD Director of Procurement; The Honorable John W.
Douglass II, Asst. Secretary of Navy (Research, Development and
Acquisition); The Honorable Paul Kaminski, Undersecetary of Defense
(Acquisition and Technology) (Invited); and Mr. William Coleman, Jr.,
Deputy Director, Office of Federal Procurement Policy. A morning panel
discussion, moderated by Mr. Jeff Elrich, Editor, Defense News, will
feature Mr. Phil Bomersheim, Chairman, Governor's Committee on
Government Reform and Ms. Patricia J. Walker, Office of Deputy
Secretary of Defense for Installation Privitazation Task Force
(Invited). An afternoon panel discussion, moderated by Mr. Ted Evanoff,
Deputy Business Editor, Business Weekly, will feature Mr. William S.
Coleman, Jr., Deputy Administrator, Office of Federal Procurement
Policy, Mr. Richard Freethey, Chief of Procurement/Management
Department of Transportaton, Mr. Robert S. Rangel, Deputy Staff
Director, Committee House National Security (Invited), and Mr. Gilbert
V. Devy, Jr., Deputy Director for Acquisition for FAA. The
