J -- MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND REBUILDING OF EQUIPMENT SOL IA2102-S6234657 DUE 032696 POC Contracting Officer, Herman Shaw, (202)205-8412 The U.S. Information Agency (USIA), International Broadcasting Bureau (IBB) has a requirement, depending upon availability of funding, for Contractor to furnish maintenance of electrical equipment at various worldwide transmitting stations. The maintenance will consist of: 1) test and calibration of protective relays; 2) medium and high voltage circuit breaker maintenance; and 3) switchboard meter calibration at up to three (3) domestic and seven (7) overseas transmitting stations. Work at the Morocco Relay Station will comprise the base contract. The remaining three (3) domestic and six (6) overseas locations will be options that the Government may exercise depending upon availability of funding. The desired performance term for base contract and all options is one (1) year after date of contract award. Contractor may propose an alternate schedule. In the event that only the base contract is awarded, the performance term will be sixty (60) days with an additional 60 day term for each exercised option. Contractor may complete work early.
