Cathcart, (415)604-0884, Fax: (415) 604-4646 NASA is seeking proposals from qualified sources for a one-year contract with two option years for the purpose of facilitating the rapid commercialization and use of the agency's technology. This contract for NASA's ''FAR West Regional Technology Transfer Center'' (FWRTTC) will entail working with U.S. industry, universities and government to facilitate access to and use of NASA technology. Activities performed under this contract will primarily be focused on the western United States but will include coordination with five other such contractors and ten NASA field centers across the nation. Additionally, the contracting organization will be expected to establish working relationships with other third-party U.S. technology transfer organizations in each of eight western states to broaden public and private sector awareness of NASA technology and capabilities. The 10 NASA Field Centers, R&D contractors and grantees will support all six RTTCs as the primary techonolgy delivery system for NASA technology. The RTTC shall be viewed as technology transfer outlets for NASA, seeking to match and transfer relevant technologies to identify public and private sector needs.
