N -- F-14 MAINTENANCE TRAINERS SOL N00019-94-G-0028 POC Contact, Jeff Brown, Phone (703)604-6100 Detailed Description: Naval Air Systems Command plans to enter into a contract with Northrop Grumman Corporation, Bethpage, New York 11714 to relocate F-14 Maintenance Trainers and associated training materials of the NAMTRAGRUDET 1008 at NAS Miramar, CA to NAMTRAGRUDET 1007 at NAS Oceana, VA. This relocation is a directive of the FY95 Base Relocation and Alignment Commission (BRAC 95). The relocation requires extensive testing, disassembly, packaging, transportation, reassembly, and retesting for on site acceptance of the F-14 maintenance trainers. Northrop Grumman is the original designer, manufacturer, and integrator of the F-14 Maintenance Trainers including the supporting technical documentation. Northrop Grumman is the current configuration Manager and has been providing sustaining engineering support and modification of the trainers. In these capacities, Northrop Grumman possesses the unique technical skills and experience required to perform this relocation and to confirm trainer design specifications required to be completed no later than December 1996, in order to meet fleet readiness training requirements.
