The American Embassy Buenos Aires, Argentina requires the operation and management of guard services in order to prevent unauthorized access, protect life, maintain order, deter criminal attacks against employees, dependents and property and terrorist acts against all U.S. assets, and prevent damage to Government property. The Contractor shall furnish managerial, administrative and direct labor personnel to accomplish all work as required under this contract. The estimated number of hours of guard service required per year under this contract is 75,142. In addition, the contract contains a firm fixed price portion for central alarm monitoring of between 21 and 35 Embassy properties and reaction to alarms, these services to be billed at a flat monthly rate which includes installation and maintenance of monitoring systems and all labor, equipment, materials, and vehicles necessary to provide alarm monitoring and reaction services. The expected base performance period is October 1, 1996, through September 30, 1997, with four (4) additional option years beginning October 1, 1997, and ending September 30, 2001.
