70 -- SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE POC Contact Judy McPhail, (309) 782-8586, Contract Specialist The Rock Island Arsenal intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Deere Tech services to renew software maintenance including updates and telephone support for the period 96 may 01 thru 97 Apr 30 for the following software: Deere Tech: Group technology fixtures module, group technology perishable tools module, group technology base foundation software, group technology classify/Code module and documentation for part software.1 year option shall be encluded. Vendors believing they can supply maintenance to all items at a competitive COST, shall submit awritten response within 15 days of the publication date of this notice that clearly shows its ability to meet the Government'S needs-responses shall include firm-fixed prices (individual monthly charges per item and extended total amounts per month, prices are to include all travel and per-diem charges) technical experience of contractors employees, including past contract for same, certification of ability to support software products listed, including strategy for obtaining access to the Deere Tech source Code, GSA contract number, if applicable. All responsible sources may respond and will be fully considered, however, oral communication is not acceptable-NO contract award will be made on the basis of offers/proposals received in response to this notice. Written responses must include pricing and technical information sufficient to enable the Government to determine if asolicitation is warranted-as a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the Contracting Officer may determine that asolicitation will be issued. If a Solicitation is issued, NO additional synopsis will be published. Any such Solicitation will be issued to the intended schedule vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of Solicitation. If NO affirmative responses are received clearly demonstrating the vendor'S ability to meet the Government'S needs, within 15 days after publication of this notice, a sole-source Solicitation shall be issued to Deere Tech services.(0067)
