The Army Corps of Engineer, Office of the Chief Counsel, is seeking sources to provide a commercial state-of-the art matter tracking software product. An off-the-shelf replacement for the present Case Management Information System (CMIS-II) is being considered. CMIS-II is used to track, manage, and report the 3000 claims, appeals, and civil litigation workload presently handled by the Corps of Engineers world-wide. CMIS-II currently contains COBOL, C & UNIX programs. The replacement system will operate on a UNIX Sun 1000 server using client-server architecture and Oracle as the RDBMS. The matter tracking system should feature an extensive on-line help function to assist and train the user on the majority of system features and capabilities. The client portion should have an interface to off-the-shelf work processing packages. Also, the client system should provide the capability for the end-user to easily structure and generate customize reports and port the end product into spreadsheet packages. Potential vendors are invited to respond with the following information: (1) A full description of the software's characteristics. (2) Information concerning the firm's experience in marketing the software product, to include a list of current corporate clients. (3) Description of current platforms and LAN operating systems on which the product has been successfully operating. (4) A list of Hardware/Software requirements for both the server and client portion of the software. (5) A list of support services offered such as Technical Hotline and or Training. All responses should reference this notice and should be received within 30 working days from the date of this announcement.
