Contractor will be required to open, inspect, report, and repair two (2) each Tailshaft Assemblies in accordance with Coast Guard Specification Number 4342-R-243-194 and Coast Guard Drawing Number 901-WMEC-243-004 Revision D. Shaft characteristics are as follows: Shaft, propulsion, tail, flanged one end (approximate flange diameter 29 inches); approximate weight 16,000 lbs.; approximate weight with sleeves 19,000 lbs.; overall shaft length 54 feet; major shaft diameter approximately 11 inches (without sleeves); center bore of 4.490 inches total shaft length. Delivery to be F.O.B. Destination to Receiving Room, U.S. Coast Guard Supply Center Curtis Bay, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226-1792.
