The boats will be used on the Mississippi River from Cairo, Illinois (Mississippi River, Mile 953), to the Head of Passes (Lower Mississippi River Mile 0); the Old River, the Atchafalaya and the Red River (Louisiana). The crewboat will transport personnel between Government work units, the tender will transport Government barges at job sites, and the towboat will tow barges from casting field to job site as may be directed by the Contracting Officer. The solicitation will contain a base year and one option year. However, there is no guarantee that the option year will be excercised. Issue date on or about 08 April 96.
