The US Fish and Wildlife Service invites bids on a contract for the reroofing of residence quarters at the White Sulphur Springs National Fish Hatchery, Greenbrier County, West Virginia. The work shall include all labor, materials and equipment required to remove and dispose of the existing transite shingle and asphalt shingle roof at the residence and replace with a new 30 year minimum, Class A asphalt fiberglass shingle roof. The work to be accomplished under this contract consists of the removal and disposal of approximately 2,200 square feet of asbestos containing shingles from the existing roof. The contractor shall be responsible to pay any fees to the State of West Virginia and other regulatory authorities as necessary to perform the abatement work. This project will include the removal and installation of existing vinyl siding and any additional layers of siding down to existing wall sheathing as required to install new roof to wall flashing, replacement of lead counter flashing around chimney with lead flashing; and other appurtenances. Included in the bid package will be an additive bid item to install ice and water shields at eaves and valleys of the residence roof. Estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The SIC code for this acquisition is 1761; size standard is $7.0 million. This is an unrestricted procurement in accordance with Public Law 100-656 and is open to any size business. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered.
