This is not an RFP or IFB. Solicitations are not available nor does the
Government intend to pay for information sought. The Television-Audio
Support Activity is seeking to identify sources of supply that can
provide the following equipment. This equipment will be utilized as a
system and must meet the following specifications/government
requirements, as well as provide system intercapability. Twelve (12)
each Prompter System consisting of a standard scrollbox including an
editor program used for story creation, live on-line editing and story
management through the scrollbox RS-232 port; program shall provide
ability to prepare and manage scripts; dual-screen editing which will
edit anywhere in the text without disturbing the prompt output;
run-order manipulation with story/page, insert, delete, drop, replace,
exchange and move; help screen; full word-processing command set;
user-friendly system configuration screens; text import/export; prompt
track which permits the operator to follow the on-air text on the
computer monitor and edit the context if necessary; controllable
through the RS-232 port by an IBM type computer (notebook or desktop);
pwr rqmts 115VAC, 60HZ; LISTEC VIDEO CORP models A-5501 Scrollbox-Plus
and A-2021P. Thirteen (13) each laptop computer; 10-in active matrix
color LCD; 15-pin SVGA monitor port/external keyboard port; 84/85 full
size size keyboard; patented retractable trackball; upgradeable CPU
design to DX4 100; internal 14.4K fax modem; 4MB RAM upgradeable to
52MB; 8KB cache RAM; 3.5-in 1.44MB floppy disk drive; 2 serial ports;
25-pin parallel port; VESA local BUS graphic; 1MB RAM video memory; 2
type II PCMCIA slots; removable hard drive; IBM compatible; F/U/W
prompter system; pwr rqmts 110/220VAC, 50/60HZ, or NI-CD or NI-MH
rechargeable battery pack; LISTEC VIDEO CORP model DBL486DX266. FOB

above description have been identified as items that meet or exceed the
government's minimum requirements, however, the brand name does not
establish a standard by which other than the brand named item will be
evaluated against. This synopsis is for planning purposes only and is
