William Bolyard The Department of Energy's (DOE) Morgantown Energy Technology Center (METC) announces the availability of Program Research and Development Announcement (PRDA) No. DE-RA21-96MC33025 entitled ''Priority Basin Demonstration Project(s).'' The overall objective of this PRDA is to solicit effort that will ultimately reduce the technical risks and the economic uncertainty standing in the way of increased efficient industry development of the low-permeability (tight) gas resources of the Rocky Mountain and Mid-Continent gas basins. The goal is to encourage development of the tight gas resources by industry through testing and demonstrating production technologies in priority tight gas basins. Offerors will be required to prepare a Statement of Work which includes ''piggy-backed'' production technology field tests executed in industry wells of opportunity located in one or more Rocky Mountain and Mid-Continent basins. Rocky Mountain gas basins to be considered under this PRDA are limited to the Greater Green River, Wind River, Big Horn, Crazy Mountains, and Uinta basins. Mid-Continent region basins are limited to the Anadarko, Arkoma, and Fort Worth basins and to the Travis Peak and Cotton Valley trends. Field testing and demonstration effort shall include, but are not limited to, running specific special geophysical logs, cutting special cores, performing special well tests, and conducting reservoir-specific stimulation treatments. The PRDA requires a minimum of 50% cost participation by each offeror. Only written or EMail requests for the solicitation will be honored; requests for the PRDA must be addressed to Mary C. Spatafore at the address above and must identify the Solicitation number. Phone requests will not be honored. The solicitation will be issued on a 3.5'' diskette in Wordperfect. In accordance with FAR 52.232-18, Availability of Funds, funds are not presently available for this contract(s). The Government's obligation is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. (0068)
