Williams, (15)604-3896, Fax: (415)604-4646; Contracting Officer: Joanne Comstock, (415)604-3896, Fax: (415)604-4646 NASA-Ames Research Center has a requirement for research and development covering technical survey of electric power systems and airframe conceptual designs. Research shall include review of technical literature and interview experts in the field of advanced electrical storage/production systems. These systems should include, but not be limited to, solar cells (amorphous & crystalline), primary batteries (alkaline & lithium), secondary batteries (lead acid, Ni-Cad & nickel metal hydride & lithium), fuel cells, flywheels, and beamed energy (microwave & laser). Electronic reports shall be submitted on Microsoft word-RTF, preferrably version 5.1. All data tables developed shall be sub mitted utilizing SYLK format. Anticipated period of performance will consist of a nine (9) month base period. All offerors must provide documentation on the capabilities and a biography of key personnel. Research and development will be at the contractor's site and will include travel to NASA-Ames on four (4) separate occasions to discuss and demonstrate progress of study.
