J -- DOCKSIDE REPAIR OF USCGC PRIMROSE (WLIC-316) SOL DTCG80-96-B-3FA821. Due 043096. Contact Mr. K. Brumfiel, Contracting Officer, (212) 668-6273. Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to provide dockside repairs including but not limited to the following minimum items: 1) Renew Exhaust Insulation for both Main Engines and both Ship Service Generators 2) Clean galley Gaylord Hood, Exhaust Blower, and Ventilation Ducting 3) Install Check and Isolation Valves for #1 and #2 Fire Pumps 4) Inspect, Overhaul, and Test Weight Handling Equipment 5) Inspect, Overhaul, and Weight Test Small Boat Hoisting Equipment 6) Renew Spud and A-Frame Winches 7) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall ``A'' Frame Pile Driving Assembly 8) Clean, Inspect, and Disinfect Potable Water Tanks 9) Reseal PRC Decks 10) Temporary Logistics Indefinite items include but are not limited to the following: 1) Minor Coating Repairs, Tanks 2-70-1-W (25 percent) and 2-70-2-W (25 percent) 2) Ultrasonic Testing 3) Additional Temporary Logistics. Vessel length is 100 feet. Width is 24 feet. Vessel Homepier is Atlantic Beach, NC. Vessel availability schedule is on or about 12 August 96. Performance Period is scheduled for 21 calendar days. The work will be performed at USCG Support Center, Portsmouth, VA. There will be a non-refundable charge of $100.00 in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. Orders must be placed within ten (10) days of solicitation issuance. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. For Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts receivable financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses.
