Assembly, qty. 70 each. The Echo Sounding System shall be manufactured
in accordance with Coast Guard Specification Number 270/378 CGY-426-1,
Revision A, dated 24 February 1996. The Echo Sounder/Recorder Assembly
shall consist of the following minimum main features: An Echo
Sounder/Recorder Assembly unit rated at 1KW power and detection to
6,600 feet with a dry electrosensitive paper recorder; Remote digital
depth indicator, displaying feet, meters, or fathoms and have shallow
depth alarms. Depth output format shall be NMEA-0183 for external
equipment interfacing; Transducer assembly with cable for steel hulls
and adaptable to a AT200 UQN Hull Ring and operating at 28KHZ; and a
Rectifier unit used to convert 115 VAC, 60 HZ to 24 VDC for supplying
power to Echo Sounder/Recorder Assembly. The Echo Sounder/Recorder
Assembly will be used as a replacement onboard Coast Guard 270' and
378' WHEC cutters. Contractors will be required to submit descriptive
literature with their bids. This literature must be adequate enough to
thoroughly describe the item they are offering. Delivery shall be
approximately 180 days after the date of contract award. All
responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the
agency. When calling be prepared to state your name, address, and

informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged
Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to
assist minority, women-owned, and disadvantaged business enterprises
to acquire short-term working capital assistance for
transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
