The 45 SW will conduct an Industry Briefing on the Launch Base Support (LBS) contract from 0900 - 1200 on Wednesday, 17 Apr 96, at the Patrick Air Force Base Education Center, Bldg 998, Conference Center. LBS services include Safety, Fire Protection, Security, Facilities Operation and Maintenance, Disaster Preparedness Planning and Operations, Ordnance, Concessions, Vehicle and Equipment Operations and Maintenance, Flight and Ground Operations, and General Management Support. The new LBS contract is scheduled to be effective on 1 Oct 97, and will incorporate performance-based contracting concepts. Discussions will address the background, schedule, and objectives of the LBS procurement.
