SOLICITATION NOTICE: Work to be performed consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for the installation of a hot water heating system for Building 212, a 32,000 GSF administrative facility on the SEARHC Mt. Edgecumbe campus. Work will include removal of steam radiators and attendant piping, disposal of asbestos insulation as required to remove the piping and the installation of new hot water convectors, pipe insulation, thermostats, converting the existing steam boiler to a hot water system, rigid attic insulation and other modifications or additions required to provide a fully functioning hot water heating system for the facility. The technical drawings and specifications for this project are presented using International System of Units (SI) (Metric) ``soft conversion'' wherein metric equivalents are substituted for standard inch-pound measurements. This is a Solicitation Notice for Bids. A non-refundable fee of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per set of bid documents is required from each interested bidder. Checks are to be made payable to SEARHC, 222 Tongass Drive, Sitka, Alaska 99835 and mailed or delivered to the office of SEARHC Facility Management at the address listed above. Contract completion time is 150 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Preference in the award of this contract shall be given to 51% Indian and Alaskan Native owned and operated organizations or enterprises if sufficient eligible firms are identified which can demonstrate the capability to perform the contract work of the size and type involved and within the time frame provided above.
