The purpose of this modification is to change the description to: The work consists of installing new emergency lighting units and remote heads according to plans and specifications. Current lighting do not meet current Life Safety Code, National Electrical Code and National Fire Protection Code. A harsh environment is causing failure of the existing style of emergency lighting units. Replacement units are rated for the current operating conditions and installed to satisfy stated codes.
