Department of Agriculture, Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS),is
seeking information on available biochemical testing systems for
indentifying Salmonella spp. The systems must be fully automated,
capable of handling between 50 and 100 samples per day, and be a
ready-to-use (''walk-away'' or ''turnkey'') system. FSIS is looking for
a low cost, accurate testing systems that produces minimal hazards.
Only fully developed, commercially available test systems shall be
considered. Responsible sources shall submit product documentation that
supports the above requirements,including product inserts and costs to
Julie Adams at the above address. All information must be received by
March 27, 1996. This request is for information and planning purposes
only and does not commit the Government. There is NO SOLICITATION
DOCUMENT available. FSIS does not intend to award a contract based on
the information received. Vendors are reminded that only the
